Thanks to the support of our generous North Reading community, the North Reading Food Pantry has a new home!
The Food Pantry is now open for clients, old and new, at its new location at the center of town.
North Reading Food Pantry
150 Haverhill Street
To mark its 300th anniversary, the Union Congregational Church in North Reading donated a 1,100 square foot building for the Food Pantry’s exclusive use. The NRFP HOME Fund was established by Christian Community Service (an interfaith partnership between the churches of North Reading) and the Union Congregational 300th Anniversary Committee to fund the building’s renovation and prepare it specifically to meet the Food Pantry’s needs. Backed by the enthusiastic support of our generous community, the North Reading Food Pantry opened the doors of its new home on August 3, 2020.
With funds raised by the NRFP HOME Fund, we renovated the building completely and outfitted it to meet the needs of our food pantry. Take a look at these photos which show the transformation.
The Food Pantry has a permanent and functional home, and is serving a growing number of clients due to the Covid pandemic.
