How to Donate Goods to the food pantry

Thank you for your interest in helping those in need with a donation to the Food Pantry!

Please consider shopping from our list of most needed items (below). When you are ready to donate, you can drop off your food donations at one of several locations in town (see below). Food Pantry volunteers regularly collect these food donations and deliver and distribute them at the Food Pantry. **PLEASE NOTE WE CAN NOT ACCEPT ANY PERISHABLE ITEMS**

Where to Drop Off Your Food Pantry Donations

  1. Stop & Shop - 265 Main Street
  2. North Reading Post Office - 174 Park Street
  3. North Reading Town Hall (foyer) - TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO COVID
  4. Flint Memorial Library - TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO COVID
  5. **NEW** NR Food Pantry - 150 Haverhill St.  Mondays and Fridays only 11am-1 pm; please email ahead of time to ensure staff is available
  6. DO NOT LEAVE DONATIONS ON THE PANTRY DOORSTEPS- WE ARE NOT ALWAYS THERE TO ACCEPT DONATIONS AND WE WILL HAVE TO DISPOSE OF THEM


WHAT TO DONATE TO THE FOOD PANTRY

  • Cereal- other than Raisin bran or Cheerio's
  • Spices-- oregano, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, shake and bake
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sensitive skin Laundry detergent and stain remover- ie shout
  • Fluff and Nutella


Please check back frequently as our list will change weekly based on availability through the Greater Boston Food Bank and community needs.


  • Please Note: 
  • ** WE DO NOT NEED SOUP OR CANNED VEGETABLES AT THIS TIME** WE CURRENTLY ARE OVERFLOWING-THANK YOU**
  • We cannot accept perishable items or expired food. 
  • We do not need any paper bags at this time. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THEM ON OUR DOORSTEP
  • Please do not leave donations on our doorstep as we are not manned 7 days a week. Live donation hours are 11am-1pm Mondays and Fridays at the pantry or use our convenient donation boxes at Stop & Shop or the Post Office.
