WAYS TO HELP

VOLUNTEER AT THE FOOD PANTRY

If you are interested in volunteering at the North Reading Food Pantry, there are various ways to get involved. You can help our clients shop, pick up donations in town, or assist with cleaning and stocking our shelves. We depend entirely on our volunteers, and we would love your help. 

For more information, feel free to contact us. We are happy to answer your questions and provide details about our volunteer opportunities. Once we receive your inquiry, our Volunteer Coordinator will send you our quarterly sign-up sheet.

Volunteer Requirements:

All of our volunteers must be able to:

• Stand for 2 hours
• Read expiration dates on food labels (can be tricky!)
• Lift 25lbs or more
• Maintain our clients' confidentiality

 Volunteer  Hours:

• Monday Mornings: 9:00am - 11:30am*
• 1st & 3rd Monday Evenings: 6:15pm - 8:30pm*
• Fridays: 11:00am - 12:30pm

*Volunteers must be 18+ during these shifts to maintain client confidentiality as these times coincide with client shopping times.

HOST A FOOD DRIVE

Whether you are an individual or a member of a team/organization, hosting- a food drive can make a big impact. Not only will you help stock our shelves with much-needed items, you'll also help raise awareness throughout our community. Contact us if you would like details on how to organize a food drive.
