the food pantry is here to help!

Who Can Use the Food Pantry?

You are welcome to use the pantry if you are a resident of North Reading. Please bring an ID and proof of residency, such as a utility bill, with you at your first visit.

Clients may use the pantry two times each month -- they can shop every other week. We offer both perishable and non-perishable foods to supplement the food available from other sources.

DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: WE ARE OPEN AND HERE TO HELP!

In-person shopping is back! Clients may notice some changes have been made to the way the room is accessed to comply with social distancing best practices.  Your patience and cooperation is appreciated.  Thank you!

Hours and Location

We've Moved!

The pantry has moved out of the Town Hall! As of August 2020, the Food Pantry is now located at 150 Haverhill Street, in the center of town.

The Food Pantry is open for client shopping Monday mornings from 9:30am - 11:00am, and on the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

We are open on most Monday holidays, except Memorial Day and Labor Day, when we are open on Tuesday. Also, if July 4th, Christmas, and New Year's Day fall on a Monday or if there is a snow "no school" day, we will inform our clients when we will open.

Other Services

In addition to the pantry, Christian Community Services (CCS) provides many additional services throughout the year.

  • Financial Assistance is available on an emergency basis, on a case-by-case basis.
  • Holiday Dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas are an important part of our mission.
  • Take-a-Tag Program provides Christmas gifts for children.
  • Back-to-School for school age children provides backpacks and school supplies.
